Tyson term of office expires in 2025.

Jim Tyson was born Feb 2, 1958, in Dothan, AL.  He was brought home to what was then called the Rehobeth community but is now known as the Town of Rehobeth (since 1996), where he has lived all of his life. He graduated from Rehobeth High School in 1976.  He then went to work at General Electric.  He worked there for 34+ years before retiring in 2010.  He is currently employed by the Houston County Board of Education where he  drives a school for Rehobeth schools.  He is a long-time member of Rehobeth Baptist Church where he serves as a deacon.

He has been married to his wife Brenda for 45 years. They have two sons, two daughters-in-law and one grandson, all of which he is very proud of.

Jim has served on the Town Council since Dec 2014.  He states that he “loves our town and the people who live here and looks forward to our towns bright future”
